Helen Terry Counselling
(MBACP Accred), BSc (hons) Therapeutic Counselling Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Supervisor in Camberley, Surrey

I  am a qualified and certified supervisor offering collaborative and supportive supervision to qualified counsellors and trainee counsellors/placement students.

I offer individual supervision both in person at my private practice in Camberley and online throughout the UK.

Please contact me to arrange a free initial 30 minute meeting to explore your supervision needs, talk more about how we could work together and see if we might be a good fit.

Understanding supervision as a working alliance, I offer a safe space to grow through clinical reflection, collaboration, understanding legal and ethical boundaries and through gentle supportive challenge. Working together in supervision and providing guidance when needed, this approach helps you explore, reflect on and process aspects of your work and continue to develop confidence, competence and ethical best practice.

As a supervisor, I bring my wide ranging experience as an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor working with both adults and young people in different settings and having set up and developed my busy private practice. I hold a Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision and I am an accredited member of the BACP (MBACP) abiding by the Ethical Framework and working with their ethical standards.

I offer individual supervision based on Hawkin and Shohet's Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision which helps clinical reflection through exploring client material, contexts and systems around the client and legal and ethical frameworks. It also focuses on exploring the therapeutic relationship, unconscious processes, feelings and behaviours. I also bring my experience of using both the Integrative Development Model and Proctor's Model of Supervision into my approach in creating a holistic framework to develop safe practice, professional growth and continuous learning.

I charge £60 for one hour's supervision and £90 for an hour and half.

If you are a qualified counsellor or a trainee counsellor/placement student looking for counselling supervision, please contact me to arrange a free initial 30 minute meeting to explore your supervision needs, talk more about how we could work together and see if we might be a good fit.

The BACP emphasises the need for and the value of supervision, recognising it as "a specialised form of mentoring provided for practitioners responsible for undertaking challenging work with people. Supervision is provided to ensure standards, enhance quality, advance learning, stimulate creativity, and support the sustainability and resilience of the work being undertaken."  BACP Ethical Framework
